Thirty years have passed since the first Luminaran refugees arrived on Earth. At first, they were feared, studied, admired. Now, they are tolerated, despised, hunted. Orbital Patrolman, Emmett Hayes, is tasked with the latter. Synced in mind and body with his rare and outlawed G-1 gunsuit, he has a unique perspective on the invasion of the planet Earth, admittedly skewed by the vicious second consciousness which has taken root beneath his own. Along the course of this galactic genocide, he learns the tragic truth of his father's death and the untold beauty of the alien race that human beings have elected to dominate.
